Cookie Policy
This site uses a small number of cookies. The strictly necessary ones are set without asking, because the law permits that. Everything else waits until you say yes. There is no advertising network here, no retargeting pixel, and no cross-site tracking.

1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It lets the site recognise your browser on a later visit — to remember a preference, keep you signed in, or count a visit.
“Cookies” here also covers technologies that do comparable things: local storage, session storage, pixels and embedded scripts. The law treats them the same way, and so do I.
2. The categories I use
Functional (always on). Required for the site to work. These remember your consent choice, stop a form submission being lost, and protect against automated abuse. No consent is required for them, and switching them off is not offered, because there would be nothing left to use.
Statistics. [No analytics is currently installed. If you add one, name it here, say whether data is anonymised, and confirm it runs only after consent.]
Preferences. Remember choices you have made, so you are not asked twice.
Marketing. None in use. If that changes, this section needs the detail, and those cookies stay blocked until consent is given.
3. Which cookies are actually set
The live list — every cookie, its purpose, its duration and who sets it — is maintained automatically and shown on the Opt-out preferences page.
It is generated there rather than typed here on purpose. A hand-written cookie table goes stale the moment a plugin updates, and a stale table is worse than none — it is a statement of fact that has quietly become untrue.
4. Third parties that set cookies or receive data
| Service | When it loads | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Calendly | On the booking page, when you open it | Runs the scheduling widget; sets its own cookies and receives your IP | United States |
| Google Fonts | On every page | Serves the typefaces; receives your IP address | United States |
| Akismet | When you submit a form | Checks the submission for spam | United States |
Each is covered by its own privacy policy, which governs what it does with what it receives. Links are on the preferences page.
5. Changing your mind
On this site: open Opt-out preferences and change your choices. It takes effect immediately.
In your browser: every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, under Privacy in Settings. Blocking all cookies will break parts of this site and most others — that is a limitation of how the web works, not a choice I have made.
Global Privacy Control: if your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, this site treats it as an opt-out of sale or sharing where that applies.
6. Changes to this policy
When the cookies change, this page changes. The date at the top says when it was last reviewed. Material changes to how consent works will prompt you again.
